Test environments for verifying and validating autonomous transport systems
Tuesday May 28, 2024 10:15 - 10:35 Conference hall
Speakers: Håkan Andersson, Jacob Aduama
Since 2018, AstaZero together with Volvo Autonomous Solution has developed and constructed several test environments for verifying and validating autonomous transport systems within the quarry & mining industry. The challenge in developing these testing environments is to create the capability to test various types of production scenarios relevant to the autonomous transport system and its aimed site for operation in a safe environment. During the fall of 2023, AstaZero and Volvo Autonomous Solution inaugurated a new test environment called Generic Site AstaZero. In this presentation will Håkan Andersson (AstaZero) present the design and implemented function at Generic site. Jacob Aduama (Volvo Autonomous Solution) will present how the Generic Site concept (and Generic Site AstaZero) is a key enabler for their ability to scale V&V activities through simulation and real-world testing.
