High tensile steel to increase safety and efficiency in underground mines Passed
Wednesday May 29, 2024 14:55 - 15:15 Conference hall
Exhibitor: Geobrugg AG
Speakers: Johan Persson, Rico Brändle
High strength steel is widely used in the natural hazards sector to prevent rock falls and protect infrastructure and people. To test underground ground support, Geobrugg has a test facility in Walenstadt, Switzerland, where the entire system (including bolts, shotcrete, mesh, straps, etc.) can be tested. With MINAX mesh, Geobrugg can provide safer underground operations, especially in seismically active mines.
