Blast Safe integrates with the Aitik mine's access control data in real time and with a verification system that confirms each individual's evacuation, whether outside the blasting zone or safely within a certified shelter via access cards or smartphones; a digital evacuation tool that connects people Blast Safe was recently named silver winner of the Euromines Safety Awards 2025. Head of the Work Environment and Safety Section at Aitik
Boliden Minerals

Camilla Martinsson has been working in Aitik in different roles during the past 20 years. Started my journey in Aitik in 2006 as a temporary worker in loading and transport, after a few years I wanted to see something new and applied to the enrichment plant as an operator, I got involved in IF Metall's board and eventually became the Chief Safety Officer. One thing leads to another and after studying alongside working as a work environment engineer, I applied for the position as section manager for work environment and safety. The years and experience in Aitik help me daily and I am happy to have been given the opportunity to develop within Boliden.
