Examples of how increased digitalization can help decision-making and plan the mine operations thru simulation, both for established mines but also for new greenfield plants.

Mr. Stefan Bosman (MSc. Process Systems Engineering) is an automation and advanced process control professional, working with automation and digitalization of Industrial plants and Industries for 15 years. He has been leading projects in optimizing Oil & Gas, Petrochemical plants, as well as automation modernizations. As automation engineer, he has experience in EPCM design projects in Pulp and Paper, Biofuels, Oil & Gas, Fertilizers, Renewables and Mining. In his current role, Stefan is responsible for Customer Relationship and Technical Sales Support management in the Minerals Digital Solutions offering concept at Metso with the target to promote mining industry optimization and digitalization in Market Area Europe and Central Asia. Stefan is driven by a strong interest in process technology, automation, Advanced Process Controls, Simulation and Industrial Digitalization Strategies to open new insights in optimizing production over the value chain.
